The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.
The diagram illustrates the current plan of a university’s sports centre and the proposed plan of upgrading it. Overall, the current plan includes three areas and they will be merged into one and equipped with more facilities in the future.
Looking at the current plan, the sports centre is separated into three areas with a main building in the middle of two outdoor courts. Through a main entrance on the building’s southern side, there is a reception in the middle and two doors on both sides of it, the left door leading to the area for changing clothes, the other door leading to the seating area. A 25-metre swimming pool is in the middle of these areas. In addition, there is also a gym at the back of the pool.
Turning to the upgrading plan, three areas will be merged into one. The western outdoor court will be turned into an additional pool for leisure purposes, while the eastern court will become a big sports hall with two studios designed for dancing. Two additional changing rooms will be added on either side of the sports centres to serve people using the new facilities. There will be a small sports shop and a small cafe on both sides of the reception areas. In addition, apart from the gym with double size, the other facilities will remain unchanged.
